Makes: 3 Cups
(about the right amount for 9 people)
3 cups blueberries (fresh or frozen)(about the right amount for 9 people)
1 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch dissolved into 3 tablespoons water
INSTRUCTIONS:
Place blueberries in a saucepan. Cover with water and add sugar. Heat over medium-high heat until mixture comes to a low boil and blueberries just start to break apart.
Add dissolved cornstarch to saucepan and bring mixture to a rolling boil. Turn heat down and simmer on low heat for 2-3 minutes, or until sauce reaches desired consistency. If sauce gets too thick, add more water one tablespoon at a time.
Remove from heat. Serve warm.
You can add any type of fruit, just add sugar to taste.
You can make this ahead of time and warm it up just before serving. You might need to add a little more water when warming it up.
