Makes 2 Cups
Ingredients:1 1/4 boiling water
3/4 Cup Sugar
Dash of Salt
2 TBSP cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 Cup of cold water
3 TBSP Lemon Juice
1 TBSP Butter
Instructions:
In a saucepan, bring 1 1/4 cups water to a boil. Add sugar and salt and stir until dissolved. Stirring constantly, add cornstarch mixture. Cook until thick and clear. Remove from heat and add lemon juice and butter. Stir until butter is melted. Serve warm.
You can make this ahead of time and warm it up just before serving.
Comments
Lime juice works well if you don't have any lemon juice.
