Sauce:
1 1/2 cups milk
3/4 cup flour
garlic salt to taste
(you can substitute 2 cans of cream of chicken soup for the homemade sauce.)
French Onion Soup Powder Mix:
1 TBSP onion powder
3 TBSP beef bullion granules
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp paprika
3 TBSP beef bullion granules

salt to taste (remember the rice will soak up the salt)

4 chicken breasts
1 cup long grain white rice uncooked
1 1/2 cups water
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
Spray 9×13 pan with cooking spray. Add chicken breasts and season with salt & pepper.
Pour uncooked rice over chicken. Sprinkle with onion soup mix.
Pour sauce and 1 1/2 cups of water over chicken.
Cover tightly with foil and bake 1 hour and 15 minutes or until rice is tender.
