Bacon Wrapped Green Beans or Sweet Bacon Beans

Makes: about 12 bundles
6 bacon strips, cut in half (don't use thick cut)
1 (16oz) pkg green beans (thin beans are best)
1 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1/4 cup butter, melted

Directions:
Part 1: (You can make this first part of this recipe ahead of time.)
Preheat oven to 400 and par bake the bacon (until it's cooked, but still very floppy) - about 7 minutes.
While the bacon is cooking, blanch the green beans - boil for 2-3 minutes or until just starting to get tender, then drain and submerge in ice water.
Let the bacon cool and pat the green beans dry.

Part 2:
Preheat oven to 400. Grease a cookie sheet.
(If you don't want to go into the trouble of making bundles, you can just chop up the bacon into 1" squares and dump the bacon, beans, and seasonings together on the cookie sheet and bake it that way.)
In a small bowl, mix together the garlic salt, pepper, brown sugar, and butter. Pour the mixture over the green beans and toss to coat.
Wrap 8-10 green beans with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Place on the prepared cookie sheet.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy.
